Slates

Slate is a medium-hard rock, used nowadays for various purposes in construction and home decor, and suitable for flooring as well as for interior and exterior cladding.

Slate rocks are formed deep in the ground, under extreme pressure and heat conditions, or as a result of tectonic pressures. Slate rocks consists of large and medium crystals, arranged in layer structure, creating a special structure of delicate stripes pattern.

Slate rocks hardness grade is, as mentioned, medium, and for this reason, it is shaped down quite easily. Slates are usually characterized by shades of gray and black, but also available in other colors, ranging from cream to shades of red.

Slate tiles is often used for emphasizing a unique facade. For example, the house main entrance, a decorative wall in the living room, a fireplace surrounds, etc.
